The Drupal Image Module is responsible for the creation & maintenance of "image nodes" that can be used for several purposes - such as embedding inother nodes, or used on their own to display photographs, screenshots or diagrams.

This module allows users with proper permissions to upload images into Drupal. Thumbnails and additional sizes are created automatically.

Images could be posted individually to the front page, included in stories or grouped in galleries.

Installation
- Copy this directory to a suitable modules directory, such as sites/all/modules
- Enable the module at: Administer > Site building > Modules
- Configure the module settings at: Administer > Site configuration > Image
- Configure cron if you didn't do so already to have your temporary upload directory cleaned up.
