This means that deleting the data from the removable drive is not enough since anyone with a undelete utility or low level raw data readers can simple read your "deleted" data and retrieve it.In order to encrypt your original data, your data is read, encrypted and then replaced. This means that your original file is deleted and replaced by an encrypted version of the same file. Therefore the deleted original can be retrieved as explained above. This means that encryption alone is not truly safe.In order to protect your data, not only must the data be encrypted, but the original un-encrypted data must be physically deleted by writing random information (for example: zeros) on top of it to make sure no one can ever retrieve it. This is exactly what Lockngo Professional does.
