PRIVARIA Secure Networking Suite Publisher Description

PRIVARIA is a secure, firewall-friendly platform for peer-to-peer networking. This unique open-source software establishes authenticated, encrypted tunnels for remote access to colleagues computer desktops, file transfer, whiteboard, and videoconferencing - using an FTP account as the "switchboard" of the network. In order to use the software, you need to establish a standard FTP account with any server you choose and give all the computers in your trusted network access to that account, and authorize connections with those computers by accepting their unique authentication keys on your own machine. Then Privaria manages your secure peer-to-peer network behind the scenes, tunneling authorized connections through encrypted channels, negotiating around firewalls, and rejecting connections that are not properly authenticated. Privaria uses TightVNC for remote desktop viewing and GnuPG for encryption.
